NSE Knowledge Hub ties up with LetsVenture as a premier partner to evangelise understanding of private markets

Mumbai: NSE Knowledge Hub and LetsVenture have today formalised a partnership to create high fidelity knowledge courses and insightful content covering the private markets. The premium resources created on this platform will cater to individuals who seek to understand the dynamics of fundraising in the private market with a focus on angel investing, VC and PE fundraising, to start off with.

“At NSE we intend to play a pivotal role in the Idea to IPO journey for entrepreneurs and investors and as the start-up ecosystem develops in India, there is an immediate need for awareness and structured learning around private markets from a practitioner point of view. NSE Knowledge Hub is a platform exclusively designed for financial learning and this partnership with Lets Venture will add immense value to the learners in the startup community” said, Ravi Varanasi, Chief Business Development Officer of NSE.

As an accredited investor, investing into private markets creates a good way to diversify the overall investment thesis. However, India today has a very low ratio of investors compared to founders – probably as low as 1:6. For this ecosystem to grow, there is need to create awareness and education around unlocking capital from accredited investors.

“At LetsVenture, we have invested time into simplifying the understanding of angel investing. In the last 6 years, we have conducted many masterclasses around early stage investing. However, there continues to be a gap in structured content that allows UHNIs to understand private markets, how to make asset allocations as well as start investing. Partnering with NSE Knowledge Hub to create a formalised programme for high net worth individuals seeks to address this gap,” says Shanti Mohan, co-founder & CEO of LetsVenture. LetsVenture is today India’s largest and most active platform for startup fundraising across stages having facilitated fundraising of over INR 1,174 crore for 290+ startups since 2014. The LV Angel Fund AIF has over 800 SEBI-accredited investors and more than INR 220 crore in assets under management

To kick off the partnership, LetsVenture hosted its day-long Founders First conference on the NSE Knowledge Hub on August 29. This conference saw the participation of India’s best investors Rajan Anandan of Sequoia Capital India, Sanjay Nath of Blume Ventures, Anjali Bansal of Avaana Capital, Priya Rajan of Silicon Valley Bank, Hemant Mohapatra of Lightspeed India Partners and founders of unicorn startups like Yashish Dahiya of Policybazaar, Abhiraj Bhal of Urban Company and Nithin Kamath of Zerodha.

Abhilash Misra, Chief Executive Officer of NSE Academy said, “We are delighted to partner with LetsVenture and hope to build an enriching learning experience for learners in Angel / PE / VC investing space.”

“Going forward not only will we use the learning management system created by NSE Knowledge Hub to showcase short, medium and long courses but also leverage LetsVenture’s strong ties with the startup and investor ecosystem (in India & globally) to curate some of the best domain expertise for both investors and startup founders and make this the one-stop shop for all content related to India’s private markets,” added Mohan.
