NSS volunteers of GDC Ramgarh conduct cleanliness drive at adopted village Kalah

SAMBA : The National Service Scheme Unit ‘Prabha’ of Government Degree College Ramgarh, in continuation to the series of activities being organized to mark ‘Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations’, carried out a cleanliness drive in a public park in its adopted village Kalah.

The drive was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Satinder Kaur, the Principal of GDC Ramgarh.

Dr. Shamsher Lal, NSS Programme Officer, along with NSS committee members and NSS volunteers, visited the public park. He briefed the volunteers regarding the importance of cleanliness and encouraged them to always keep the surroundings clean. He also said that this activity provided a great opportunity to the College to perform its social responsibilities for the society at large.

Dr. Ekta Rani, NSS Committee member, also encouraged the volunteers to keep the surroundings clean. She said that Mahatma Gandhi believed that ‘cleanliness is next to godliness’. She congratulated the volunteers for performing their services for the society.

A large number of NSS volunteers participated in the cleanliness drive and cleaned the public park. People of ‘Kalah’ village applauded this initiative of cleanliness drive by the College NSS unit ‘Prabha’.
