NTPC awards scholarships to meritorious students

Talcher : NTPC Talcher Kaniha has presented Utkarsh Merit Scholarship to 58 meritorious and talented students of nearby villages.

The scholarships were presented by Sh K Srinivasa Rao, Executive Director, NTPC Kaniha, to the students of 10 and 12 standard, B. Tech and MBBS for their excellent performance in academic year 2020-21.

Shri Vijay Goel (GM O&M), Sh Prem Chand (GM HR), Members of Union and Association, School principals, and other senior officials were also present during the event. Students were presented with Banker’s cheque and a certificate. The dignitaries also had an interactive discussion with students to understand their aspirations and encouraged them to pursue their dreams.

Driven with the objective of motivating students to excel in their academics, the scholarship aims to encourage girl students, persons with disability, economically and socially weaker sections of the society for a better future. The scholarships are awarded under NTPC Kaniha’s CSR initiative and shows the commitment of NTPC towards academic upliftment.
