NTPC School of Business Faculty nominated to steering committee on India’s ICAP by Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change
New Delhi : NTPC School of Business (NSB) is proud to announce the nomination of one
of its esteemed faculty members, Professor R Gopichnadran, to steering Committee on India’s Cooling Action
Plan constituted by Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate change (MoEFCC).
Professor R Gopichnadran is a distinguished faculty at NTPC School of Business. He teaches industry led
sustainability and Multilateral environment agreements. Previously, he worked as Sr. Consultant, Montreal
Protocol at EESL He also worked as Director at Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under
Department of Science and Technology.
The Steering Committee will coordinate with 19 ministries, including department of Science and Technology,
Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship among others. It consists of principal and joint
secretaries along with domain experts in the field of environment.
The committee is mandated to guide the implementation of India’s Cooling Action Plan (ICAP). The objective
of cooling action plan is to provide a detailed, policy centric perspective and actions necessary for meeting the
objective of sustained cooling.
About the Institution
With an aim to spearhead human capacity generation in the field of energy sector in India, NTPC School of
Business was set up in 2014.
Under the Aegis of NTPC, the NSB works towards becoming a pioneer in energy management, through
impactful knowledge creation and dissemination.
Equipped with a state of the art campus and mentorship of IIM Ahmedabad, the institute currently runs two
programs- Executive Post graduate diploma in Management (PGDM-E) and Post Graduate Diploma in Energy
Management (PGDM-E).
The AICTE approved courses are oriented towards training and research enrichment in the field of energy
sector in India.
