NTPC Talcher Kaniha rewards meritorious students with Utkarsh Scholarships

Talcher: Driven with the objective of motivating students towards better learning, NTPC Talcher Kaniha distributed 50 scholarships to meritorious students from nearby villages under NTPC Utkarsh initiative on December 29, 2020.

Under this CSR initiative, 41 students from Class 10 pass-outs and 6 students from Class 12 were honored with scholarships worth Rs 3,000/- to assist their learning. In addition, scholarships worth Rs. 90,000/- each were also given to three students pursuing B.Tech in VSSUT, Sambalpur and Parala Maharaj Engineering College, Berhampur.

Chief Guest for the occasion, Executive Director (CSR) Shri MSD Bhattamishra congratulated the students for their excellent academic performance and encouraged the students to work hard towards their ambitions with passion and zeal.

Shri Sudip Nag, Chief General Manager, NTPC Talcher Kaniha further emphasized the role of parents in shaping our career goals and motivated the students to work hard towards their aspirations and dreams.

The ultimate aim of this event was to encourage and support the students towards better and improved learning under the CSR initiative of NTPC Talcher Kaniha. The scholarships were distributed in the presence of Shri Upendra Mishra, DGM (CSR-Corp. Centre) and Shri Gajadhar Singh, GM (HR) along with other HR-CSR officials.
