Aligarh : Numerous saplings were planted by the NCC cadets in the STS School premises of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). The plantations were a part of the nation-wide ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ to combat global warming, improving air quality, climate amelioration and water and soil conservation.

“The problem of global warming can only be tackled if we take positive steps to keep greenhouse gases at bay. More and more trees need to be planted to lower the air temperature, maintain low levels of carbon dioxide, and thereby reducing the greenhouse effect in the atmosphere”, said Mr Faisal Nafees (Principal, STS School).

Dr Naseem Ahmad (NCC Officer) led the team of NCC cadets on the occasion. STS teachers also joined NCC cadets to plant the saplings.
