Nuzhat Ishfaq conductes extensive tour of Lar

Ganderbal: To take stock of public grievances and issues at their doorsteps, the DDC Chairperson Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq today conducted an extensive tour of Lar DDC Constituency. She also held a series of public grievance redressal camps at Chathan, Benhama, Waliwar, Wutlar, Chountwaliwar and other areas

During the visit, the DDC Chairperson was accompanied by district and sub-divisional officers of various departments including PHE, R&B, Health, ISM, besides a large number of residents from different areas of Lar DDC Constituency had assembled and put forth various demands.

The DDC Chairperson resolved some of the problems on the spot while the rest were communicated to the concerned department officials for early resolution.

Nuzhat said that such regular contact programmes enable the representatives of public to have a better knowledge of the problems being faced by the general public. She assured the locals that their genuine demands would be met as soon as possible and steps have already been taken to provide basic amenities to the public.

While speaking on the occasion, Nuzhat Ishfaq assured people that their complaints would be heeded and grievances redressed. She urged the officers to empathize with the people in remote areas of her DDC segment and resolve their problems on priority. “

She said that they have to live up to the expectations of people by ensuring responsive administration and added that delivery of quality public service is imperative for the uplift of the poor and downtrodden.

The locals hailed the initiative of holding public grievances camp by the DDC Chairperson Ganderbal to listen to the people’s problems.

Nuzhat instructed the officers of key departments to increase their field visits and resolve people’s grievances at block and tehsil levels.

During her tour among others BDC Lar, Sarpanches and Panches and other prominent citizens were also present.
