NYK organizes ‘Neighbourhood Youth Parliament’ at Pulwama

 

PULWAMA: Under the aegis of 75th ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Pulwama, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI in collaboration with District Administration Pulwama today organized a day-long ‘Neighbourhood Youth Parliament’ programme at Dolphin Paramedical College Palapora, here.

The DDC, Chairperson Pulwama, Syed Bari Indrabi, was the chief guest, while the Principal of the institution was the guest of honour.

The objective of the programme was to develop leadership qualities among the youth to enable them to realise their full potential and in the process, to contribute to the nation building process. It was also aimed at motivating the youth to strive for excellence in their respective fields and to bring them to the forefront of the development process.

Speaking on the occasion, Bari said that youth should develop leadership qualities and use their potential for nation building. He also stressed the youth for eradication of social evils, drug addiction etc.

The chief guest also thanked the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathana for organising these activities for the development of the Nation.

The resource persons from the different Government Departments of District Pulwama delivered lectures on the theme ‘development of the youth and nation building activities’.

Earlier, Deputy Director, Mohammad Khalil Mir spoke on the objectives of the programme.

A large number of participants both male and female were present in the said programme besides NYK and Youth Club Members.
