October Marks the Beginning of Senior Studies at RWTH Aachen

The senior studies program at RWTH Aachen starts on October 1st, 2023 and once again offers a variety of topics and activities. The new event plan is now available.


The focus is on events from the regular curriculum that have been opened to senior students. The RWTH is committed to dialogue between younger and older people, from which both sides can benefit. In addition, there are offers exclusively for senior students. As in every semester, the popular Wednesday seminar attracts with contributions. The lectures range from “Closure of the A544 – A catastrophe for Aachen?” to “ChatGPT” to “Witches and witch madness. Biblical, historical and art historical perspectives”.

For 100 euros per semester – an exemption from fees is possible in justified individual cases – those interested can put together an interdisciplinary timetable. Anyone can take part, regardless of age, whether with or without a high school diploma. An academic degree cannot be acquired as this would require regular studies.

Registrations are from September 11th. possible until November 10th, 2023, registration documents are attached to the event schedule. The brochure will be sent to senior students who have already been admitted in the last two semesters. It is also available in banks, at some Sparkasse branches, in bookstores in the city area, in the SuperC, Templergraben 57, and in the RWTH shop in the main building, Templergraben 55.
