Odisha: 25% course for UG, PG students’ self-study

Bhubaneswar: The Higher Education Department on Friday issued modalities for ‘Guided Self Study’ covering 25 per cent of the syllabus for UG and PG students from the next academic session 2020-21. For Under-Graduate courses, the entire second unit (25% of total four units) of each subject and paper has been earmarked for student self-study, except AECC (Ability Enhancement Compulsory Course) and SEC (Skill Enhancement Course) papers. However, for Post-Graduate Courses, the respective PG Departments shall identify and earmark 25 percent of the syllabus of each paper for student self-study. The papers that involve project work, fieldwork and dissertation would continue to be conducted as before.
