Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik launched Aditya Birla Public School in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar : The Aditya Birla Group today launched “Aditya Birla Public School” in Bhubaneswar. Inaugurated by Shri Naveen Patnaik, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, this first of its kind school reflects scale and an ambience that is in harmony with nature. Shri Devi Prasad Mishra, Minister of Education, Govt of Odisha, and Shri Pradeep Maharathy , Minister of Agriculture Govt of Odisha graced the occasion as well.
While giving his inaugural address, CM Mr Naveen Patnaik applauded this noble effort of the Aditya Birla Group and said that this addition of ABPS Bhubaneswar shall certainly give a boost to the primary and secondary education of the children of this locality.
Addressing the distinguished audience, Smt. Rajashreeji Birla, Chairperson, Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development commenced her address by paying “homage to the noble leader the late Shri Biju Patnaik”. She said that it was an honour to have Shri Naveen Patnaik’s blessings on the school. The presence of his Cabinet colleagues Shri Mishra and Shri Maharathy added further grace to this auspicious beginning.
The cause of furthering education, is in the very DNA of the Birla family. Setting up world-class schools, has been and continues to be, an ongoing process with the Aditya Birla Group. This is the 48th school of the Group. The Aditya Birla Public Schools is a not for profit venture of the Aditya Birla Group. The Group has been intensely engaged in bringing education to the masses for nearly a century.
Elucidating the Group’s overarching vision in the domain of education, Smt. Birla, recounted the Group Chairman, Shri. Kumar Mangalam’s words, “To ignite minds and to create in students, a love for learning and continuous development, by making the learning process a fun-filled, enjoyable, growing experience, built on the solid foundation of values”.
In the beginning , Dr Santrupt Misra, Director –HR of Aditya Birla Group delivered the welcome address and said “ I hope the parents and children of Odisha benefit from its motto “Sa Vidya ya vi’muktaye That which liberates is knowledge”!

The legacy continues under the persoanl leadership and commitment of our Chairman Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla and his gracious mother, Smt Rajashreeji Birla, Chairperson of Aditya Birla Centre for Community Intinitatives. This schools is their latest gift to the community in Odisha, added Dr Misra.
The Aditya Birla Public School located at Sundarpada Jatni Road in Bhubaneswar, offers holistic education to students from nursery to Grade VII. Going forward, plans to scale it up to Grade X and beyond, are on the anvil.
The school, as Smt. Birla commented will be “Indian in soul, global in vision”. The Aditya Birla Public School is moulded in line with this philosophy. It has the best of infrastructure, technology, and an environment that stokes creativity and curiosity among the children. Their faculty and management comprise some of the best educators and teachers, who are all confident of instilling the best of values and enabling boys and girls at the school to grow and evolve into value based, sensitive and empathetic youngsters.
