Ohio State University: Marching band heads to Sesame Street for halftime show

From Big Bird to Oscar the Grouch, the Ohio State University Marching Band celebrated some of the most beloved characters in children’s television in the halftime show during the game against Penn State.

For more than 50 years, Sesame Street has been entertaining children and their parents on television every week. TBDBITL featured characters and music from the long-running series.

“Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street,” “C is for Cookie” and “I Love Trash” were some of the hits played by the marching band as their formations included Kermit the Frog, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Elmo and the Count.

Connor Oppy, a computer science and engineering graduate, dotted the “i.”
