On 15th August SSA, Kamrup and Bharti Foundation conducted ‘Rang Tarang’ & ‘Kon-Maina Sora for children across Kamrup

New Delhi: Samagra Shiksha, Kamrup (R), Assam collaborated with Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, to organize two different events for the Primary, Elementary & Secondary students as a part of 74th Independence Day celebrations.

Rang Tarang – A Block & District level Poster making cum slogan writing competition on the theme of Patriotism. Keeping in mind the current guidelines, all submissions were done on-line. About 100 students participated and out of final 18 block level winners, 7 District level winners were selected by the Jury. Result was declared by the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup, Mr. Kailash Karthik N, IAS. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Kailash Karthik N said, “It is very heartening to see such beautiful performances performed by the Children. The initiative taken by SSA, Kamrup and Bharti Foundation to engage students to bring out their talents and providing them a platform to perform is highly appreciable. It is definitely very innovative and inspiring for others to follow.”

“Kon- Maina Sora” a virtual cultural program platform that provides opportunities for the students to showcase their Singing, Yoga & Recitation talent. On 15th August 2020 50 district level students showcased their talent on this virtual platform. An independent jury comprising of representatives of SSA, Kamrup and Bharti Foundation judged Rang Tarang competition and the winners were awarded with Certificates of Excellence. These programs help enhance creative skills, the spirit of healthy competition and brotherhood in the minds of these youngsters.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Binu Nair, Chief – Programs Operations, Bharti Foundation said “As we celebrate our 74th Independence Day and salute all those who made this a reality, we must as a nation invest in preparing our children for future and equip them with real life skills keeping a firm eye towards our future. Bharti Foundation is making a small effort through its Quality Support Program as it is working with over 800 Government Schools today towards this objective. These initiatives in Assam are a part of our commitment to this cause of making the India of the future, ready to take on the future.”
