On International Mother’s Day, Indian Performing Right Society Ltd (IPRS) releases a poignant song “MAA” to celebrate the essence of Mother’s Love
Hyderabad: With International Mother’s Day being celebrated on Sunday, 10th May, Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (IPRS), India’s only registered copyright society will release a poignant song, “MAA” to celebrate the essence of motherhood. The song is a heart-warming ode to mothers all across. Renowned Lyricist Sameer Anjaan, Music Director Raju Singh and Singer Sonu Nigam came together to bring the emotional song to life. The song will be released across IPRS digital platforms i.e. IGTV, Facebook & Twitter.
The composition beautifully epitomizes the mother as a goddess who embodies the supreme power and is always there for her children. Even an old man, feels like a child when he is in his mother’s lap. Honouring the eternal love between a child and the mother, the song captures the indispensable role that mothers’ play in everyone’s life. Her contribution is invaluable, and her absence creates a deep void that is impossible to fill. The pandemic has shaken the world and has redefined our lives. The modern society has recognized the relevance of ‘sharing’ and ‘caring’ more than ever! Act of love, knowing to care, sharing responsibilities and acknowledging that families matter is a reality now. Mothers have always been ‘the nurturer and caregiver’ making the house a home for us. But the pandemic has made us realise the importance of being compassionate and the value of unconditional love!

Commenting on the launch celebrated singer, Mr. Sonu Nigam said, “It has been rightly said, God cannot be everywhere, so he created mothers and this song, MAA resonates the same essence. When I first heard the lyrics of the song, it gave me goose bumps and reminded me of the profound times spent with my mother. Beautifully written by Sameer ji and composed by my best friend Raju Singh, the song has some very emotional lines and had an instant connect with the essence of motherhood. I am thankful to IPRS for putting this initiative together.”
Speaking on the occasion, popular lyricists Sameer Anjaan said, “While writing this song, I took a stroll down memory lane and sought inspiration from my relationship with my mother. She has been my rock with her boundless support and unconditional love. I dedicate the lyrics of this song to her, and hope that it makes brings a smile on her face like she brings on mine every day.”
Commenting on the video song known music composer Mr. Raju Singh said, “Sameer ji has written such a wonderful song. The lyrics touched my heart and brought back my childhood memories with my mother. To top it, my brother Sonu Nigam has rendered the song so beautifully and left no stone unturned and this song couldn’t have been sung better. No matter how young or old a person is, we always crave our mother’s love. I have tried to compose this song from my heart for the moving lyrics.
