On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur is organising a plethora of activities. A cycle rally was organized on 3rd of June on the occasion of World Cycle day wherein 300 participants including faculty members, staff members and students took a cycle ride, brimming with enthusiasm to promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle, at 6.30 am across the green campus of MNIT Jaipur.
A tree plantation drive has been initiated on the department level in the Institute for a greener and environment-friendly campus. All the department will be conducting major outreach and advocacy activities for mass mobilization on mission LiFE, to spread awareness and to indicate their commitment towards the cause of environment conservation. The departments will also ensure that their environment is plastic free and will conduct cleanliness activities in the campus.
A Poster Making Competitionis being organized on 5th June 2023 at 9.30 am, on the theme of Mission ‘Lifestyle For Environment’ for the students. Mission LiFE is expected to be an India-led global mass movement that will nudge individual and collective action to protect and preserve the environment. This poster-making activity aim to spread awareness among the students and all stakeholderstowards adopting environment-friendly practices and an environment-conscious lifestyle that contribute towards conservation of energy, saving water, reducing waste, refraining from single use plastics, etc.
In this competition students from across various schools and institutions can participate. There are two categories, one is for students of the age from 8 to 11 years and second category is of 12 to 16 years. The students will be showcasing their creativity, concern and support on paper. All the participants will be provided stationery kits and best posters will be displayed on the social media handles of the Institute. The paper size will be A3 and they can use any colours of their choice. The participants will be given 2 hours to create their posters. The entries will be evaluated on the criteria of creativity, originality, artistic composition and overall impression of the poster in congruence of the competition theme. The competition is being organised by the deanery of Student Welfare. The winning students will be felicitated with certificate and prizes.
