One Day Workshop on Landslide Mitigation held

Aligarh : In a move against the rising landslide incidents, the Geotechnical Engineering Section of the Department of Civil Engineering (ZHCET) at AMU organized a One Day Workshop on Landslide Hazard Mitigation on December 2. The workshop extensively addressed the surge in landslides and tunnel failures, featuring case studies from India, Malaysia, and Italy.

Mr. Mudassir Ali Khan from the University Technology Petronas, Malaysia, led discussions on Debris Modeling, while Mr. Jibran Qadri from the University Degli, Italy, focused on Geospatial Analysis in Landslide Mitigation. Organized by Dr. Md. Rehan Sadique and Dr. M Suhaib Ahmad, the workshop was inaugurated by Chairman Prof. I H Farooqui, with coordination by Prof. Mohd. Masroor Alam and Prof. M A Khan. Around thirty PG and Research Scholars from various departments actively participated and contributed to the insightful deliberations.
