One week FDP on RADM -22
Aligarh : The Mechanical Engineering Section, University Polytechnic, AMU, is holding a one-week Technical online faculty development (FDP) programme on “Recent Advancement in Design and Manufacturing (RADM_22) from 22-26 March.
In his inaugural address, the Principal of University Polytechnic, Prof Arshad Umar highlighted that the manufacturing sector is going through a technological revolution, with more and more businesses taking the plunge into investing in new technology. Some of the technologies that are already driving much of the change in factory environments are 3D printing, Internet of things (IOT), Robotics, and Augmented Reality etc.
Prof Pervez Mustajab, Dean, faculty of Engineering and Technology in his presidential address, emphasized on how the design and manufacturing environment has gained new heights by adopting several non-conventional approaches to 3D printing technology as part of the structure of Industry 4.0 developed framework for the design of modern automated and computerized infrastructure.
The speakers from outside AMU includes Dr Murshid Imam (IIT Patna), Dr Sushant Rath (SAIL, Ranchi), Mr Mohammad Masoom Ali (NPCIL), Dr Irfan Samad Wani (NIT, Srinagar), Dr Shankar Sehgal (Punjab University, Chandigarh), Dr Kuldeep Saxena (GLA University, Mathura), Dr M Shafiullah Hussain (NIAMT, Ranchi) and Dr Mohammad Nadeem Bhat (NIT, Srinagar).
In the inaugural function more than 100 participants including faculties, research scholars and PG students registered from all across the country in this FDP.
Dr Md Israr Equbal (Convener), Abdul Faheem, Mirza Shariq Beg and Dr Ahmad Saood are the joint Co-Conveners of this FDP.
