Online career counselling session held at IG Hall
Aligarh: The Indira Gandhi Hall, Aligarh Muslim University organized an online “Career Counselling Session” in collaboration with the Training and Placement Office (TPO) AMU. This was the first career counselling program in a hall of residence during Covid-19 pandemic with the objective of highlighting the career opportunities for final year graduation students (resident or non-resident) of undergraduate programmes including BA, BSc, BCom and BUMS.
As an introductory remark Professor Sheeba Hamid (Provost, IG Hall) gave a brief description of the objective of the counselling session. It was followed by the introduction of all wardens individually. She advised the students to keep pace with present times and “learning to unlearn and re-learn”.
A detailed perspective on the career was given by Mr Saad Hameed (TPO), who enlightened the residents with examples of the recruitment process.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Sumbul Rehman.
The resident wardens (Ms. Sana Kaneez, Dr Afrin Bano, Ms Kousain Fatma and Dr. Salma Sultana) and the non-resident wardens (Dr. Saba Khan, Dr Nazish Begum, Mr Akhtar Abbas, Dr Sumbul Rehman and Ms Heena Parveen) participated in the programme.
