Online competitions held; Divya Verma won the first prize
Aligarh: Divya Verma won the first prize in an online Poster Making competition organized by the Begum Azizun Nisa Hall, Aligarh Muslim University, while Neha Parveen and Tuba Abrar grabbed the second and third prizes, respectively.
Similarly, Aaliya Imran got the first prize in Urdu poetry while Priyanka Sharma, Shazia Bi and Darkshan Zaidi won the first, second and third prizes, respectively in self-composed poetry competition in Hindi. In English poetry, Madiha Sohrab, Rudar Bilal and Anam Tariq respectively won the first, second and third prize.
These online events were organized by the Begum Azeezun Nisa Hall as part of the centenary celebrations of AMU.
Congratulating the winners, Provost of the hall, Professor Subuhi Khan said that in a turbulent time due to COVID-19, participation of students in literary and cultural activities help keep themselves in good health.
She said the competitions were organized to underline the historical event and involve students so that they could share their personal experiences and memories related to the university in poetic forms.
The events were organized by wardens Dr Zarrin Imran, Ms Rafeeda Siddiqui, Ms Munazza Neyaz, Dr Hushnud and Ms Alisha Ibkar. Winners and participants were given e-Certificates.
