Online consultative meeting to celebrate Independence Day held at AMU

Aligarh: An online consultative meeting under the chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof Tariq Mansoor was held today to discuss and finalise various programmes / events to be organized to mark the Independence Day.

The Vice Chancellor Prof Mansoor emphasised that Independence Day will be celebrated at the AMU with traditional gaiety and fervour, following Government’s proper protocol and guidelines suggesting preventive measures in the light of COVID-19 pandemic.

Registrar AMU, Mr Abdul Hamid (IPS) welcomed the members present in the online meeting and apprised them about the programmes to be organised and arrangements to be made.

The traditional Mushaira on the eve of Independence Day is to be held online.

The meeting was attended by various officials and functionaries of AMU.
