Online FDP on Computational Techniques in Engineering

 

Aligarh : A five-day ATAL AICTE sponsored Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Computational Techniques in Engineering” organised by the Mechanical Engineering Section of the University Polytechnic, AMU began yesterday. Prof Parvez Mustajab, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, was the Chief Guest and Prof Arshad Umar, Principal, University Polytechnic, presided over the inaugural session.

 

Dr Syed Imran Shafiq, Coordinator of the FDP, welcomed and gave an overview of the Computational Techniques in Engineering. He informed that around 150 Faculty Members, Research scholars and PG students of AICTE approved institutions from all across the country will attend the FDP. Eminent resource persons from prestigious institutes of India and abroad will address participants.

 

Prof Parvez Mustajab, in his address, emphasized on the endeavours of the Government of India in the engineering area and the need to train faculty members in various computational techniques.

 

Prof Arshad Umar highlighted the importance of Computational techniques for finding solutions to various complex engineering problems effectively and efficiently. He also encouraged the participants to apply these techniques in different domains and develop innovative solutions and discoveries.

 

Mr Afsar Husain, co-coordinator of the FDP, extended a vote of thanks.
