Online FDP on Sustainable Development and Green Energy
Aligarh: A five-day online Faculty Development Programme on Sustainable Development and Green Energy has been successfully completed at Z H College of Engineering & Technology by the department of Electrical Engineering, AMU.
The programme was conducted under the AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy initiative of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
A total number of 200 participants including both faculty and PG and research scholars from about 165 different institutions in 24 states of the country had registered for the program.
The university, under the guidance and leadership of the Vice Chancellor, has been adopting green energy and energy conservation measures and also extending support to others by training and lectures. Through this programme also the participants benefited from our experience of these successful projects.
The inaugural function was organised centrally by the AICTE in which Prof Anil D. Sahasrabudhe (Chairman AICTE) was the Chief Guest and Prof M M Sufyan Beg, (Principal ZHCET), and Dr. Mohammad Rihan (Coordinator of the FDP) represented AMU. Prof Beg during the program apprised about the contributions of the university to the achievement of national sustainable development goals.
Apart from resource persons from AMU, experts from IIT Delhi, The Energy Research Institute (TERI), National Institute of Solar Energy, Nalanda University, PDP University of Gujarat, Solar Energy Corporation of India, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, etc. delivered lectures in the program. Mr Mohd Zaid, Assistant Professor was the co-coordinator of the program.
