Online Induction Programme for MCA Students
Aligarh : The Department of Computer Science, AMU organized a 5-day Online Induction programme for the newly-admitted MCA Students of the Session 2021-2022. The Induction programme was aimed at acquainting the students with the academic, administrative, cultural and corporate life of the university.
Prof Aasim Zafar, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science, interacted with the newly admitted students and discussed the state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities and various services provided by the department to the students including lab and research facility and placement opportunities.
Prof Rafiuddin, Department of Chemistry made the students familiar with the facilities available in residential halls of the University.
Dr Arman Rasool Faridi, Department of Computer Science and Deputy Proctor informed students about the cultural and residential life of the University and various clubs of the university that students can join to groom their personality.
Prof Nayyer Asif, Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Deputy DSW interacted with the students and highlighted the facilities provided by DSW office to the students.
Prof Mohammad Ubaidullah Bokhari, a senior faculty member, shared a brief history of the Department and how the Department took small but continuous steps to reach excellence.
Prof Faisal Hasan, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Consultant, CoE&A, informed the students about the processes carried out to smoothly conduct the admissions and examinations.
Prof Tamanna Siddiqui, Department of Computer Science shared an overview about benefits of Academic Mentorship Programme and the responsibilities of both mentors and mentees.
On the last day, Dr Mohammad Sajid, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science interacted with students as SWAYAM Coordinator and talked about the importance of SWAYAM Platform and encouraged students to join MOOCs courses of their choice on the portal to enhance their skills.
Dr Mohammad Nadeem , Training and Placement Officer, enlightened students about placement opportunities provided by the Department.
Mr Ishtiyaq Khan (Dean Office), Faculty of Science informed them about the services provided by Office of Dean, Faculty of Science.
