Online meetings with future teachers
On March 2, an online meeting of specialists from the Children’s Reading Center of the National Library of Karelia with 1st year undergraduates of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Petrozavodsk State University took place. Future teachers traced the path of the historical development of the process of family reading, from the end of the 19th century to the present, using the example of reading in the families of writers L. Tolstoy, D. Mamin-Sibiryak, I. Grekova.
The participants of the online meeting received recommendations on organizing an evening reading with their families, taking into account the psychological characteristics of the sensitive period of development of children of preschool and primary school age.
The specialists of the Children’s Reading Center introduced the master’s students to methodological literature , periodicals, works of art by contemporary Russian and foreign children’s writers , with an assortment of toy books from the collections of the National Library of Karelia dedicated to family reading.
The online meeting was organized within the framework of a cooperation agreement between Petrozavodsk State University and the National Library of Karelia.
