Online seminar on intercultural communication

An online seminar on intercultural communication was held at the Department of German Philology and Scandinavian Studies, organized by Associate Professor S.V. Vasilyeva and second-year undergraduate Elizaveta Bruchikova.
The event was dedicated to the issues of conflict management. The invited students of the 3rd and 4th year of the profile “Foreign Philology” took part in the discussion of the nature of the conflict, the history of the scientific study of the phenomenon and private theories. The discussion stage of the seminar evoked a special response from the participants. Those interested shared their personal experience of communication with representatives of different ethnic groups.

The co-host of the event, Elizaveta Bruchikova, presented future specialists with practical advice on preventing conflict situations and ways to relieve tension in communicating with the interlocutor. The organizers reminded the audience of the importance of self-awareness as representatives of Russian culture and bearers of multicultural values.
