Open Swimming Championship 2022 at AMU

Aligarh : S Kashif Hasan Naqvi of the Non-Resident Student’s Centre (NRSC) won the Men’s Category of the Interhall and Aligarh District Age Group /Open Swimming Championship 2022 held at the Swimming Club, Games Committee, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

Abdul Mannan of the VM Hall finished second.

Mohd Shoaib and Shahzeb Khan stood first and second respectively in the District Open (Men) category; while Ramsha Farooq and Sania were the respective winner and runner-up of the Women Open contest.

Abdul Hannan was declared the winner in Group 1 (Boys) draw finishing ahead of Faiz Ali in the second place; Mohd Arsalan bagged the first prize in Group 2 (Boys) with Bilal Kazmi at the second spot; Ahil Naved Usmani won the Group 3 (Boys) category in which Syed Yousuf Rizvi was the runner-up and in the Group 4 (Boys) contest, Ayan Nasir and Ahil Sohail finished first and second respectively.

In the Group 1(Girls) competition, Fatima Zaira Imam took the first prize with Samiya Khan in second place. Riya Agarwal and Emaan Rizvi sealed the first and second spots respectively in Group 2 (Girls).

The winners received prizes from the Chief Guest, IPS Officer Mr Mohammad Imran (AMU Registrar); Guest of Honour, Prof Afifullah Khan (OSD Development); Prof S Amjad Ali Rizvi Secretary (Games Committee) and Dr Farooq Ahmed Dar (President, Swimming Club).
