OrangeSlates Introduced Digital Campaign on Teachers Day
Teacher upskilling platform OrangeSlates, which came into existence in 2020, has been working relentlessly towards educators’ re-skilling and subsequent growth in their careers. This year, around Teacher’s Day, OrangeSlates has introduced a digital campaign to nudge teachers to use the abbreviation ‘Tr’ as a prefix to their name to mark the nobility and importance of the profession. Hundreds of teachers across the country have already adopted this prefix in front of their names.
The campaign was born solely from the idea of instilling the nobility of the profession. The motive behind the campaign is also to celebrate the gurus who worked hard and ensured that every student still received knowledge and learning even at times when the world was under a complete lockdown. The Indian education system was not well-equipped at the time to adapt to online teaching and learning. It was the teachers of India who came together to not only align themselves with the changing format but also went above and beyond their call of duty to make sure students were learning efficiently and to the best of what was possible during such unprecedented times.
On the special occasion of Teacher’s Day, the Edtech platform is determined to enable India’s educators to begin using abbreviations that promptly identify their profession and send a message to the world that teaching is indeed a noble profession and should receive the accreditation that it deserves.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindu Aven, Co-Founder & COO, OrangeSlates, says, “Teaching is one of the most significant professions as it involves imparting education and shaping the young learner to achieve milestones and build careers as they grow up. If it were not for teachers, the education system wouldn’t hold much regard. As we celebrate the occasion of Teacher’s Day, OrangeSlates is fixated on bringing recognition to the profession beyond the day. We are encouraging all educators associated with us to begin using the prefix ‘Tr’ before their names, just like doctors, engineers, and other professionals do to mark their identities. We believe this small step towards instilling importance for the profession will lead to more talent gravitating towards it, and hence contribute in making Indian Education grow by leaps and bounds.”
