Orientation Program at Mechanical Engineering Section, University Polytechnic

Aligarh: Faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Section, University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) engaged with over 100 newly admitted Diploma in Engineering students to make them familiar with the university’s culture and help them embark on the next step in their educational journey in an online Orientation Program for the 2021-22 academic session.

Dr Shujaat Yaar Khan Incharge, Mechanical Engineering Section, University Polytechnic provided the newcomers with an overview of the Diploma in Engineering course.

He gave a layout on what is expected from the students and how they can plan their schedules accordingly.

In a presentation on useful information for new students; Dr Syed Imran Shafiq explained how to prepare timetables, go through the syllabus and prepare for examinations.

He also provided the students with all the necessary information on faculty members and extracurricular activities.

Dr M Asif Hasan informed students about the university’s rules and regulations and gave tips on how to succeed in technical fields.

Encouraging the students to contact teachers for queries, Dr Shailendra Kumar pointed out that the student-teacher relationship lies on the idea to promote student learning and improve academic performance.
