Orientation programme held for the MD Pharmacology entrants

ALIGARH  : The Department of Pharmacology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University organized an orientation programme specifically for MD Pharmacology residents admitted in 2023.

Welcoming the newly admitted students, Prof Syed Ziaur Rahman, Chairman of the department said that the Pharmacology stream is gaining popularity as a subject and first time all the seats have been filled by the external candidates. He delved into the life and contributions of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, who laid stress on the importance of modern scientific education for all citizens.

Dr. Jameel Ahmad highlighted the facilities available in the department and highlighted significant contributions made by eminent alumni of the university in national development.

Dr. Bushra Hassan Khan and Dr. Irfan Ahmad Khan delineated the historical background of JNMC and the department, and shed light on the contributions made by stalwarts of JNMC. She also highlighted the ranking status of the college over the last one decade.

They also explained the recent NMC guidelines and regulations for the MD Pharmacology course.
