Orientation programme held on Anti-Discrimination

ALIGARH : The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University organized an orientation programme on anti-discrimination for the newly-admitted students. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad sensitized the students about the adverse impact of caste-based discriminations in higher education institutions.

He discussed the activities of Anti-Discrimination Cell of the University which monitors such cases within the campus. He also underscored the constitutional provisions which ensure equal rights to all citizens and urged the students to refrain from any sort of discrimination within or outside the University campus and live harmoniously.
