Orientation Programme held on Entrepreneurial Skills and Development
ALIGARH : The Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning, Aligarh Muslim University organized an Orientation Programme on “Importance of Entrepreneurial Skills and Development” for the women learners pursuing different programmes run by it.
Highlighting the importance of start-up and inclusive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship on local level, the chief guest, Prof. Asiya Chaudhary (Department of Commerce and the Director and Convener of SURE Workshop) said that the Sure Workshop, to be organized at the Department of Commerce, is a training programme aimed to develop entrepreneurial skill among those who want to be a potential entrepreneur or possess a start-up idea.
Elaborating on the three specific areas, simplification and handholding, funding support and incentives and Industry-Academia partnership and incubation, Prof Chaudhary urged the participating trainers to development entrepreneur skills in learners, so that they may get benefits from flagship schemes of government of India, like Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Startup India, Skill India, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Make in India, Local for Vocal, etc.
“Such skills will make the learners become self-confident, self-reliant and aware of the entrepreneurial culture in the country,” she added.
The Director of the Centre, Prof Naima Khatoon said that the orientation programme will help the budding entrepreneurs get practical knowledge for mooting an appropriate business plan.
More than 110 trainees, along with the trainers Shazia Faheem, Adiba Saleem, Yasmeen Talat, Mamuna Khan, Versha Sharma and Sanower participated in the programme.
