Orientation/ Training programme under HADP held at KVK-Ganderbal

GANDERBAL : Under the aegis of Agriculture Production department, a first district level orientation and training programme regarding Holistic Agriculture Development plan (HADP) for the employees of Fisheries Department Ganderbal was today held at Shuhama KVK Ganderbal.

Assistant Director Fisheries Ganderbal, Dr. Salman Chalkoo imparted the training regarding the latest technologies for upgrading of hatcheries and Trout Rearing units and Seed Management.

He informed the employees that the Fisheries sector will be the sunrise sector of UT of J&K through equitable and inclusive growth in the Trout sector and enlightened the Development plan of the Fisheries department for next 5 years regarding Trout Fish Target production in Govt as well as private sector.

Dr. Ishfaq Abidi (Head Scientist KVK Ganderbal) conveyed the latest strategies related to post harvest of trout fish and value addition and latest scientific methods to expand the fish Culture with less mortality and minimum risk factors by RAS Culture and Biofloc technology.

Furthermore, other Scientists of KVK Ganderbal (SKUAST) also imparted the latest technologies of the Fisheries sector to the employees of Fisheries Department Ganderbal.

The event was attended by Dr. Salman Chalkoo, Assistant Director Fisheries Ganderbal; Dr. Ishfaq Abidi, Head Scientist KVK Ganderbal, other senior Scientists of KVK Ganderbal and employees of Fisheries Department Ganderbal.
