Osaka University: Osaka University and Osaka Metropolitan University sign comprehensive collaboration agreement

Osaka University and Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU)* signed a comprehensive collaboration agreement on Friday, June 17, 2022.

Even prior to this agreement, OU and OMU had collaborated in projects based on school-to-school agreements in the universities. Taking advantage of this agreement, the two universities will proceed with their cooperation across a wide variety of research fields.

After signing the agreement at Osaka City Central Public Hall, OU President NISHIO Shojiro and OMU President TATSUMISAGO Masahiro spoke about specific examples of their collaboration: development of infectious disease professionals and student involvement in EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

President Nishio expressed his vision, saying, “I believe that we can further contribute to solving social issues based on synergy through cooperation using our strengths.”
