Oxford University Press Organises ‘A Masterclass on Data Interpretation for UGC NET Paper – 1 with Bestselling author Harpreet Kaur’
Harpreet Kaur author of the third edition of Oxford NTA UGC Paper 1 – NET, JRF and SET shared important tips and insights to enhance data interpretation skills to ace these competitive examinations
New Delhi: Oxford University Press India (OUPI), a department of the prestigious University of Oxford organised a webinar titled “A Masterclass on Data Interpretation for UGC NET Paper – 1 with Bestselling author Harpreet Kaur” on February 24, 2022 at 5 PM. The webinar covered important topics in data interpretation to enable students to effectively address related questions in the Paper-1 of NTA UGC NET, JRF and SET.
Harpreet Kaur authored the third edition of Oxford NTA UGC Paper 1 – NET, JRF and SET with Oxford University Press. This edition of the book is based on the most recent UGC syllabus and is designed for those who desire to qualify for the National Eligibility Test and pursue a career in research and teaching.
Through the webinar, Harpreet Kaur, attempted to cover all the different aspects related to data interpretation including ways to represent data, the use of unit place digits for calculation as well as the use of visual approximation. She further shared strategies related to solving percentages and finding average as well as the most effective and efficient method to convert percentage to angle for pie chart. Harpreet went on to discuss ways to prepare a frequency table from given data. She ended the session with an intriguing discussion on the data interpretation questions from the December 2021 paper. Throughout the session aspirants attending the webinar were encouraged to ask questions and clear any doubts that they might have. Thus, empowering them to make the most of the guidance and knowledge encapsulated in the third edition of Oxford NTA UGC Paper 1 – NET, JRF and SET and acing the data interpretation section of the competitive examinations.
