Paanch Divasiya vaccination Abhiyan-Abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi; Extensive Information Education Campaign held in Reasi

Reasi: An extensive door to door Information Education Campaign(IEC) was held regarding “Paanch Divasiya Vaccination Abhiyan-Abhi Nahi Toh Kabhi Nahi” here across Reasi district.

The awareness programme was conducted by drum beaters to motivate unvaccinated people to get their vaccination Jab.

The drum beaters spread the awareness in different blocks of Reasi district about benefits of vaccination and announced the arrival of the vaccination team to encourage unvaccinated population in the age group of 45 year and above persons to get vaccinated.

Drum-beating has a long cultural importance used to inform the people about an important event, such as weddings and festivals. And today the drumbeaters through Drum beating informed the public that vaccination teams are at the outreach site so as to aware public in advance to get vaccinated.

The district administration has resorted to traditional methods of drum beating to create awareness about covid vaccination so as to achieve the target of 100% vaccination of the population in the age group of 45 plus and above before 30th of June.

As part of this Abhiyan, around 297 persons in the age group of 45 to 59 years and around 60 senior citizens above 60 years of age were vaccinated.
