Padma Shree awardee Shovana Narayan enthralled students at KIIT World of Education

Gurugram: India’s renowned Kathak Dancer, Padam Shree Shovana Narayan mesmerised everyone with her distinctive Kathak dance performance during Spic Macay programme organized at KIIT World of Education. During this, Shovana delivered the dance performance of Draupadi Cheerharan in the form of lovely expressions.

During the event, she conveyed the portrayal of Radha and Krishna swinging on the swing through her gestures, in which the synchronicity of dance with the sounds of thunder and rain was very effectively demonstrated. She also used diverse dancing styles to depict the sounds of numerous animals and birds.

Shovana Narayan interacted with the students, highlighting the knowledge and value of Indian classical dance and urging everyone to always stay linked to India’s history and legacy. His accompanists were Shakeel Ahmed Khan on tabla, Azhar Shakeel on violin and Madho Prasad and Imran Khan on vocals.
