Ghaziabad —IMS Ghaziabad proudly hosted an inspiring event featuring Padma Shri Dr. Kiran Seth, Founder of SPICMACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) and former Professor Emeritus at IIT Delhi. Organized by Dr. Anchal Mishra under the SPICMACAY Heritage Club of the Cultural Committee, the event saw enthusiastic participation from dignitaries, faculty members, and students from various B-Schools across Delhi NCR, including IMT Ghaziabad, ABES, RKGIT, and KIET Group of Institutions.

The dignitaries were welcomed by Dr. Prasoon M. Tripathi, Director of IMS Ghaziabad. Also in attendance were Dr. Ajay Patel, Dean of Research, Mrs. Abha Bensal, Coordinator of SPICMACAY Ghaziabad Chapter, Dr. Vaishali Agarwal, Dean Academics, Dr. Amit Bhati, Dean Student Affairs, along with faculty, staff members, and students.

Event Details

Dr. Kiran Seth shared his experiences and thoughts, emphasizing the preservation and promotion of India’s rich cultural heritage. He inspired the youth to understand and embrace the importance of Indian classical music, dance, and arts. Additionally, he highlighted the art of improving concentration and focus. Dr. Seth explained how ancient Indian practices like classical music and yoga aid in enhancing mental peace and concentration, which are crucial in today’s competitive era.

He advised students to enhance their concentration through self-reflection and meditation amidst the distractions of technology and the digital world. His insights encouraged students to establish a balance in their personal and academic lives.
