Painting competition held under G20 celebration

 

ALIGARH : The Disability Unit, Aligarh Muslim University organised a painting competition for school students as part of the celebrations on account of India’s G20 Presidency.

More than 150 students from AMU schools, including A.B.K. High School (both Girls and Boys), Abdullah School, AMU Girls School, AMU City Girls’ High School, S.T.S. School, Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh AMU City School and Ahmadi School for Visually Challenged participated in the event.

Prof. Manvendra Kumar Pundhir, Coordinator, Disability Unit said that the painting competition aimed to increase sensibility among school children towards the cause of persons with disabilities.

“The winners of the event will be felicitated at a function to be held on September 2”, he added.

He acknowledged the cooperation and contribution of the principals and art teachers of all the AMU schools.

Dr Asif Ali and Dr Wasim Raza Khan were the Convenor and Co-Convenor of the programme, respectively.
