PALS: An Initiative of IIT Alumni, Honors Chennai-Based Meritus AI and Chairman Ramana Prasad at Valediction Ceremony 2023-24.
Partners in Advancing Learning and Solutions (PALS), an initiative driven by IIT Alumni, proudly hosted the Valediction Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 on Friday, June 21st, 2024. The event, held at the TTJ Auditorium within the ICSR building on the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, celebrated significant achievements in STEM education and highlighted the contributions of key figures, including Meritus AI and its Founder & Chairman, Mr. Ramana Prasad.
PALS, celebrating its twelfth anniversary, is committed to making engineering graduates industry-ready. To achieve this, PALS has tapped into the vast pool of expertise available within the IIT alumni community across the corporate, academic, and entrepreneurial domains. The Valediction Ceremony marked the culmination of another successful year of initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of engineering education.
Meritus AI, known for its pioneering efforts in enhancing the education ecosystem, played a pivotal role throughout the year in advancing STEM and AI learning initiatives. At the ceremony, Meritus AI was commended for its commitment to innovation and excellence in education, underscoring its dedication to nurturing future leaders in engineering and technology.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of Mr. Ramana Prasad, Founder & Chairman of Meritus AI and an alumnus of IIT Madras, who received a special award from PALS for his outstanding contributions to STEM education. The award was presented by Prof. K. Murali, Director of IIT Madras, and Suresh Raman, Vice President and Region Head of Tata Consultancy Services. Mr. Prasad’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in driving positive change within the education sector, inspiring both peers and aspiring students alike.
