Panzgam-A panchayat Halqa gets GPDP Award; DC gives away the certificate of award

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today gave away a certificate of award of Rs.5 lakh to the Sarpanch, Firdous Ahmad Mir representing Panchayat Halqa, Panzgam-A in block Reddi Chowkibal, here at a function convened on the eve of National Panchayat Day.

Speaking at the occasion, the DC said that the award was given to the Panchayat Halqa for showcasing excellent performance in Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the Appraisal year 2019-20.

It is pertinent to mention here that the award was given by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India to four panchayats in the entire J&K UT which include Panchayat Halqa, Panzgam-A.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Nazir Ahmad Lone; ACD, DPO and other concerned were present at the occasion.
