Paper accepted for publication in Nature’s Scientific Reports
ALIGARH : A research paper on “Aerobic exercise on liver function in adult athletes” authored by a group of researchers and faculty members of the Aligarh Muslim University has been accepted for publication in the Nature’s Scientific Reports.
Dr Mohd Arshad Bari, Department of Physical and Sports Education said that the group of researchers and faculty members that contributed to the research paper includes himself, MAM Alobaidi, Dr. HA Ansari (JN Medical College), Dr. S. Nuhmani (IABF University, Saudi Arabia), Dr. M Khan and AH Alghadir (King Saud University, Saudi Arabia) and Dr. Bari’s research scholar, Mr. JA Parrey and A Ajhar.
He said that the research work investigates the impact of aerobic exercise on liver function in adult athletes and provides invaluable insight into the potential benefits of aerobic exercise on athletes’ liver function.
“The findings from this study could pave the way for tailored exercise programmes to optimize liver function and enhance performance of the athletes”, he added.
Dr. Bari said that Nature’s Scientific Reports is globally recognized as the 5th most-cited journal in the world (Q1) and receives widespread attention in policy documents and the media, and has a five-year impact factor of 5.5.
