Parkash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji celebrated with Religious Fervour in Poonch

POONCH : Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is being celebrated with religious devotion and great reverence here at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Poonch.

The samagam was organized under the supervision of Mahant Manjit Singh Ji of Sheromani Dera Santpura Nangali Sahib Poonch.

After the accomplishment of Shri Akhand Path, the Gurbani Kirtan was recited by Hazuri Ragi Baba Bakala, Amritsar, Bhai Harjeet Singh, Principal Rajinder Singh, and local Ragi Jathas, Bhai Harcharan Singh, Rasmeet Singh, Rajinder Singh, Bupinder Singh, and others.

Similar samagams were held in all Gurdwara of the district.

This auspicious Day marks the birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, who laid the foundation of Sikhism. This year marks the 553rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The President of Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Poonch, Narinder Singh, threw light on the life and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He elaborated on the universal relevance of Teachings of Guru Ji and for leading a peaceful and spiritual life.

General Secretary, S.Harcharan Singh conducted the proceedings of the programme and also threw light on the life history of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Dr. Basharat Hussain paid obeisance at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Poonch where he conveyed his greetings to the devotees on the Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Ex MLC, Shanaz Ghanai extended her heartiest greetings to all fellow citizens, especially the brothers and sisters of Sikh community. In her message, she said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji spread the message of Ek Omkar, which means God is one and present everywhere.

Dysp Hqr, Nawaz Chowdhary, SHO Poonch, Ranjeet Singh Rao also paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sahib.

Preacher, Bhai Ravinder Singh, Rajinder Singh, Surjan Singh, Prof. Nama Singh and others threw light on the life history of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and said that Shri Guru Granth Sahib is a sacred Granth that leads humanity in every aspect of life.

After the Ardas, the Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji read the sacred Hukamnama. He congratulated the people, especially the Sikh community on this occasion and also threw light on the life history of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
