Participation of the Department of Philosophy and Culturology in the Science Week of PPKU
7th grade cadets were given a lecture on “History of the Russian coat of arms.”
The lesson was conducted by A.M. Beijing, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Culturology IIPSN. The students were able to get acquainted with the presentation on the topic, to clearly see how the symbolism of the state changed from Ivan III to the present.
The cadets actively answered the lecturer’s problematic questions regarding heraldry, showed their knowledge of the history of Russia, in particular, on the stories about the St. Andrew’s flag, the flag of the Russian Federation, the anthem of the Russian Federation, about the image of St. George the Victorious.
The topic of ethos in philosophy was discussed with a group of eighth-graders, professor of the department L.I. Kabanova. The guys discussed concepts such as thinking, humanitarian knowledge and philosophy.
The event, the purpose of which was to increase new knowledge and educate citizenship and patriotism, was attended by about 60 people.
