Parul University Becomes the Youngest State Private University to Attain the UGC Category 1 University with Grant of Graded Autonomy Status
The University Grants Commission has conferred yet another University amongst the nation’s top league institutions. Vadodara’s Parul University was granted the Category 1 University title with Grant of Graded Autonomy in recognition of its continuous efforts in furthering quality education. Parul University over the years has been committed towards providing the most comprehensive learning exposure for the students through its interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary programs. In alignment with the national agenda for achieving a higher standard of global excellence, the University Grants Commission vested upon Parul University this autonomy status as a reward for its quality efforts and to engage effectively in its academic practices and methodologies. This significant mark of excellence positions Parul University as the Youngest State Private University to attain this status
The University has been extensively elevating its standards of quality in education, from offering students with the finest industry exposure, developing state of the art facilities for practical learning and research, developing interdisciplinary standards and value added learning as well as engaging with field experts. The University has also furthered its academic offerings by effectively enhancing its NEP preparedness through the incorporation of modern teaching and learning standards and methodologies. This UGC category 1 university status recognises the University’s extensive efforts towards achieving a standard of global excellence. Beyond the national borders, Parul University, has been fostering a learning environment that fosters these global standards of learning. Category 1 Universities are named by the UGC as high quality institutions as a result of their top rankings and scores in NAAC and in world rankings. This categorisation provides Universities with autonomy and benefits in key academic aspects such as initiating programs, ODL opportunities and such Universities are automatically given 12B status that enables them to get research grants, engage foreign professors without UGC approval among many others.
