Patriotic Song Writing competition held in Kathua

 

JAMMU  : A Patriotic Song Writing competition was today held for the students of Kathua District under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The competition was organised under the direct supervision of HOIs and coordinated by the ZEOs, ZNOs and District Nodal Officers through online as well as offline mode amid due adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines.

In his message, Chief Education Officer Kathua, Prakash Lal Thapa emphasized on the importance of patriotic values.

He said that a nation is known by the values it promotes and preserves and the students of today will determine the future of the nation tomorrow. Hence it was of paramount importance that patriotism seeps into their hearts.

Appreciating the efforts of the teaching community and other officials for organising these events, he said that finer arts like poetry, music etc. help in developing the personality of students to the fullest and add to their creative capabilities.

He gave his blessings to the participating students and wished them well for the future.

Pertinently, Directorate of School Education Jammu is organising a series of events under the able guidance of Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu, as a buildup towards the upcoming Republic day celebrations and today’s competitions were a part of that series only. Similar activities will be organised by the Directorate in schools across all the 10 districts of Jammu Division in the coming days as well.
