Paul Kittle Takes Helm as Head of Student Affairs for University of Houston System (UH
After a nationwide search, University of Houston System Chancellor Renu Khator has appointed Paul R. Kittle as the new vice chancellor for student affairs for the UH System and vice president for student affairs for the University of Houston. His appointment will be effective Jan. 17, 2024.
“With his nearly 30 years of experience in higher education and proven track record in academic management, I look forward to Paul furthering our UH System student success goal and UH’s vision to become a top 50 public university,” Khator said. “He will provide leadership, strategic vision, organization and administrative oversight for the UH Division of Student Affairs and general oversight for student affairs across the UH System, which serves more than 75,000 students.”
Kittle comes to UH from the University of Texas at Arlington where he has spent the past five years as senior associate vice president for student affairs. He earned a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in business administration and management from Pennsylvania West University, California. He earned his doctorate in the administration of higher education from Auburn University. Prior to joining the University of Texas at Arlington, he served in leadership and management positions at High Point University, Auburn University and Clemson University.
