Pearl Academy to host ‘PORTFOLIO 2018’ on the fifth day of AIFW 2018

 

New Delhi: Celebrating 25 years of creative impact, Pearl Academy is taking forward its collaboration with FDCI, and is offering a unique platform to the budding designers to showcase their creations at the FDCI’s Amazon India Fashion Week on March 18 in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

This is the second year that Amazon, the largest internet retailer in the world is collaborating with Pearl Academy, the first Indian institute to be ranked number 21 among top 25 Graduate Fashion Colleges in the world to offer dream opportunity to the emerging fashion designers in the global fashion landscape.

Portfolio is the launch platform for graduating designers of Pearl Academy wherein graduating students showcase their creations every year. Close to 400 students from across all campuses of Pearl Academy will participate in the event. Portfolio marks the entry of the promising graduates of Pearl Academy into the professional world. The design collections on the ramp will introduce thematic inspiration of personal individual interpretations and concepts. Every collection has a unique inspirational source behind it. This year, the budding designers are exploring their creative ideas through various design concepts based on fashion sustainability, traditional Indian craft, fashion sub-culture, individual design identity in sync with dynamic and ever evolving industry of fashion. The theme of this year’s portfolio is Future of Fashion.
