Pehlay Akshar Foundation and Freedom Tree join hands to create social impact through art

Mumbai: Pehlay Akshar Foundation, part of the RPG Group, in association with popular home décor brand Freedom Tree have launched a limited edition collection of home and tabletop accessories. The collaboration aims at celebrating creativity and self-expression by transforming colorful paintings created by students of the Pehlay Akshar Foundation.

Mumbai-based multidisciplinary designer and creative coach, Kunj Mehta Sheth, conducted an art workshop that encouraged the students of Pehlay Akshar to express themselves through artworks. Their creations were then created into beautiful products in partnership with Freedom Tree.

This collaboration with Freedom Tree also aims to create social impact, where 10% of the amount generated from sales will be routed to the Pehlay Akshar Foundation. The funds collected will be directed towards furthering the welfare and education of underprivileged children to improve their learning and make them future-ready.

Sharing her thoughts on the collaboration, Radha Goenka, Founder, Pehlay Akshar Foundation said, “Coming together for a good cause, the Pehlay Akshar Foundation and Freedom Tree are collaborating to spread happiness through the infusion of joy and colour. The education sector continues to face a rising number of challenges, and a large number of students are still struggling with basic reading and math skills, limiting their future opportunities. I am thankful to Freedom Tree for this partnership. Not only do these products help our cause, but also spread smiles through the artworks on them, both of which are at the very core of Pehlay Akshar.”
