Peking University holds dialogue with China CDC on public health capacity building

Peking: Peking University held a dialogue on June 5 with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) on capacity building in public health. The event was held answering the call made by Chinese President Xi Jinping on June 2 in talks with health experts. The PKU team participating in the dialogue was led by Zhan Qimin, executive vice president of PKU and president of PKU Health Science Center.

Building on the momentum of individual-based collaboration between staff of China CDC and faculty of PKU School of Public Health, the two sides saw the dialogue as an opportunity to bring their cooperation to a new level and contribute to a stronger public health system in China. They agreed to increase ties in training, research, think-tank development, platform building, and dual employment.
