Penguin Random House: Barack Obama Virtually Visits with Independent Bookstores in Support of Independent Bookstore Day

A long-time patron of independent bookstores, former Presdent Barack Obama is celebrating Independent Bookstore Day (Saturday, April 24) by virtually “stopping in” to visit with six independent bookstores from around the country: Square Books of Oxford, MS; Eso Won Books of Los Angeles, CA; Politics & Prose Bookstore of Washington, DC; Parnassus Books of Nashville, TN; The Lit.Bar of Bronx, NY; and Literati of Ann Arbor, MI. Booksellers from each store spoke with the President about their mutual love of reading, the craft of writing, and all things books.
